The thing with this fault is that it’s got no worse for at least a couple of years, doesn’t seem to improve after a Mackie’s service and, strangely, seems to have got better after a set of new plugs!

I have no idea what these rubber fittings are called but, apparently, they were fitted to Diesel D2s to make the cabin less noisy. They also look pretty neat IMHO.

It’s new. Expensive, I know, but my old one was in a pretty poor state and I’d tried a few others without getting a good fit.

So, the immobiliser setting came back of its own accord, but the remote doesn’t work. So, the first key works fine, the second key will start the engine and unlock the doors manually and the third key starts the engine, but it then cuts out almost immediately. I wish I’d left well alone with 2 fully ...
