Re: Bump stops either side of the boot lid - sourcing?

Yes, i did find them but, as you say, it’s only part of the fitting. I’ve just ordered them from Audi Tradition through Dean

Re: Bump stops either side of the boot lid - sourcing?

Has anyone found a supplier for the lower, adjustable, stops without paying silly money?

Re: How hot does your S8 run?

I’ve had similar problems a couple of times in my ownership and it’s been either thermostat/pump (when a garage fitted non-Audi parts) or the fan. Apart from that, My S8 sits at 90 even in the recent heatwaves.

Re: Visual Headlight Comparison

I recently came across this article https://lazymarcel.com/bringing-back-to ... light-mod/ which I guess is by you?

To clarify, can this kit be fitted to xenon plus lights and does it mean that you can ditch the yellowed internal diffuser?

Re: Timing belt intervals

Thanks yet again Michaela. I would always trust your experience and judgement over any other, so I’ll keep my precious S8 at the 5-6 year interval and start buying the ancillary part well ahead of the due date.

Re: Timing belt intervals

PistonHeads also reported it https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/top ... &t=2049360 so it looks legit

Timing belt intervals

I’ve seen a few reports that say “the VAG group has changed its cambelt replacement interval across the entire VAG range to no time limit and 150,000 miles”.

Is that right, even for D2 A8s and S8s?

I certainly hope so!

Re: VCDS doesn’t work properly on newer Audis

I had some limited success on a 2016 A4, but it still wasn’t fully functional.
