It was the underside of the handbrake trim where it always breaks off??

If so, then I can't believe I got that right.

Nope.
Not even a Google reverse image search found anything on that 3D print of a D2 part.
But I'll have two guesses....
1. something to do with the underside of the handbrake trim.
2. something else

How gruesome.

I guess that gives a new meaning to the phrase "dog rough".

The "Ultra rare factory black trim" is noted on the spec sheet as "4ZB Bright decorative trims" as opposed to "4ZE Black decorative trims".
The previous owner told me that he scratched one and it was silver underneath.

But not only that...
When he had the car painted by his friend ...
