Re: Custom RNSD boot logo and firmware update service

Excuse ignorance but what additional 'extra' is there for the firmware, seeing as RNSD is so old?

I think I need a gearbox flush
Bear in mind the gearbox was in good order when MJ worked her magic on the car when reincarnating it.

If it wasn't for MJ there is no way I would consider still having a D2.

Re: Gearbox service time

Well. I finally found a company called CCM in Ewhurst who were happy to help. Full dynamic flush with ZF long life with filter change. Not cheap but I am happy with the result. :D

I have contacted Liqui Moly and await a reply on a nearer approved service center, so see what happens there. The gearbox shifts fine apart from a little hesitation sometimes when lifting off upon going downhill (gentle nudge is felt).

Electro chap came round. It's electro mechanical interference ...

Re: Gearbox service time

Ha I've been caught out by the exact same thing. My S8's compressor is also grumbling at the moment too. They are only £200 for NRF units which seem to work pretty well. Should be about an hour's work for a garage with an AC machine to change it.

Aha! found two VAG.... 'specialists'. Discussed ...

Re: Gearbox service time

So......

I followed the process advised by MJ. Managed about 125mls oil. Not fun scrabbling around underneath a car with the motor running. Cleaned up. Car back on the ground and went for a spin......... whine still there!

Guess what? Pressing the AC econ switch on and the noise went away!!!! I ...
