Factory bose amp bypass

Morning all, has anyone got experience of swapping the factory bose amp with e modern DSP amp? I want to keep the factory head unit but upgrade the speakers to get better, louder sound. My thinking is to take the factory inputs from the head unit which got to the Bose amp and put them to the new amp. Is it as simple as that or am I missing something?

You need to run phono cables from head unit to new amp.

Would the coding of the RNS also need changing - depending on the amplifier used?

I've already added RCAs to the line out from the headunit but in the boot before it goes into the plug which connects to the Bose amp. Is this not the same thing?
