When I bought Audrey, her glove box light wasn't fixed. It needs a new bulb - I can do that - but I can't see where the housing is supposed to be mounted, any clues please?
Thank you.

Glove Box Light
Re: Glove Box Light
You WILL break it, or it's already broken.
The whole thing is horribly fragile and in a really awkward place and has very short wiring.
Realistically IMHO (others may disagree) the best option is to take the whole glovebox out and work on it with better access. It's not as difficult as you might think, just a couple of bolts IIRC and a bit of careful wiggling.
And with the glovebox out you can fix it more securely in place and (if needed) extend or reroute the wiring a bit.
There is also (or was) a replacement 3D-printed solid LED unit, though oddly I still haven't fitted mine yet (sorry MJ

Re: Glove Box Light
Oh yeah, its best off to take the glovebox out.. those lights are fragile and cost around 40 euros for a new one which... will also break next time the lamp goes.
Re: Glove Box Light
Indeed. I had my glovebox out ages ago for another job all to do with Digital TV and other RNS inputs IIRC.
While there I "improved " the wiring to the light, repaired/reinforced and secured it properly and put an LED replacement bulb in.
I "think" I had to swap the cables over as the polarity was wrong for LED - simple enough to do, but you need to know!
Subsequently I bought MJs LED unit but as the LED bulb has never failed it's sitting "ready to go" as a spare.
Can't recall how to get it out but you do have to be careful of the Bowden release cable and especially the wiring to the light.
