Had to wipe the dirko off. Turns out the black rubber gasket is correct for for 5HP24A. Just completed the service and the high pitched whine has now gone. Shifting seemed nice and smooth too. Some Vids of the service are on my IG link for a day.
I use a pressure filler attached to the drain plug then drain off the excess fluid from the filler plug.

A good result then I've not seen a rubber gasket for the 5hp24a before. Where did that come from?
