Re: Amp not switching off
I'm using a Kicker 51PTRTP12 TRTP 12" 500w Powered Subwoofer for its low profile really. If you could guide me on what and how to test I can buy a suitable amp/sub and this can be used in the Golf.

Re: Amp not switching off
This is terrible news lol. I don't mind doing away with the factory Bose amp but really wanted to keep the factory head unit. Also, I'm already getting the loud after pop from the speaker.

Re: Amp not switching off
I remember reading about this on how it's not a true 'ground' but couldn't remember where. My audio knowledge is pretty basic so not sure what the alternative is. Can I use the ground for the RCAs on lets say the rear speaker grounds or will that not work?

Re: Springs, shocks options?
I normally get impatient and rush these things and end up not being happy with the results. I don't want to sacrifice much on comfort so my thinking is not to go with coilovers. I might look at speaking to Gaz and MTS Technik to see what lowering options they can offer.

Amp not switching off

Springs, shocks options?
My suspension arms are due for a change as the bushes are torn. I Think the car would benefit from new shocks too and I'm considering lowering it a tad. Anyone found a decent spring/shock combo? I see on another thread there's the risk of inadvertently raising the car with some kits.

Re: Front bumber removal
That sounds agonising. I'll have to save this when I've got a bit of time and a free ramp.

Front bumber removal
Hi All, I've just had a fresh set of parking sensors painted which I need to fit. Just wanted to clarify is it only two bolts holding the the support bar to the chassis legs and is the bumper skin seperated from the support car once it's all off the car?
