Re: Bump stops either side of the boot lid - sourcing?
They would be pretty hard to print I think as they have a metal backing with the rubber bonded to it.
Impossible I'd say, I've just had aa look at my worst one. It actually seems to be a metal structure with a rubberised coating, so very strong.
BUT I think a solid, slightly flexible, 3D-printed ...

Re: Bump stops either side of the boot lid - sourcing?
Positive response from the seller so I've ordered a pair. I'll look at using suitable stainless washers to reinforce the fixing.

Re: Bump stops either side of the boot lid - sourcing?
The German eBay listing does clearly state (in German) that they are 3D printed and have no steel core; translation:
"Installation note: Please note that these components do not contain a steel core; therefore, they should be installed using lower torque settings. Some product images are 3D ...

Re: Air conditioning barely working
Just reporting back, all seemed good on a few miles run yesterday evening, lots of nicely chilled air. :D
Next thing will be to check the condensate is actually dripping out onto the ground rather than quietly soaking into the carpet......

Re: Bump stops either side of the boot lid - sourcing?
Thanks MJ, I'd already checked Tradition.
There seem to be some for sale in Germany, not sure if they're genuine though: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126314926325
Look 3D printed and no evidence of a backing plate.

Bump stops either side of the boot lid - sourcing?
Not sure what they're made of, some sort of polymer or rubber maybe?
Mine are looking awful, rock hard and cracked. Are replacements available or has anyone 3D-printed them?
The "brackets" they impact against on the body are still fairly OK, but both blocks on the boot lid are seemingly close to ...

Re: Air conditioning barely working
Sadly no, I just saw someone in the "office" (shed outside) and paid. I recall that years ago at A8parts (Lindisfarne meet maybe?) they did it and got "not much" out and it was still vaguely working beforehand, unlike this time.

Re: Air conditioning barely working
Just reporting back, had a "proper" drain and refill today, plus a dye leak test. £100 plus VAT which isn't bad. Seems OK but only time will tell.
Didn't seem as efficient as I remember, but it was only a short (1 mile) run home and the car had been sitting in full sun in 30c+ heat for quite a ...

Re: Amp not switching off
Just to support what Ronin has described (I also mentioned the possibility of relays earlier) I've used relays quite a lot in my S8 to manage additional kit, though most of it has been removed now.

Re: Air conditioning barely working
Compressor clutch is fine. Posted borescope snake via foglight aperture, secured with gaffer tape well away from pulley and belts!
Has a useful 90-degree mirror tip that I had attached; could clearly see some sort of label near the centre of the pulley.
Ignition on, A/C into Econ mode, start engine ...
