It's not just the battery....

Suck, squeeze, bang, blow. Ideally in that order.

I went with this, as they all seem to be identical and this was the cheapest.

I’m gonna try adding a swirl fuel surge tank with a bosh 044 pump to try future proof with the chinesium pump :(

I've pondered a similar solution, using a small low pressure pump in the tank to run the balancing suction jets, and the a separate pump to feed the engine. That does come with quite a packaging challenge though.

Another option we are investigating is using the fuel return to run the suction jets. Almost all other models do this, instead of the D2's unique pump with its low pressure output. If this works, it means a standard in-tank pump can be used instead of the unobtanium original. When that happens we'll make a post about it.

Yeah I’ve just tired to get my S8 going as been sat for a while pulled the sender out put a cheap pump in and I think it’s just not enough pressure :(

(can’t send a video)

The other frustrating thing is I purchased the V12 throttle repair kit and the tabs snapped when trying to fit it :| instead of sending a replacement said it was my fault and offered another one to buy for a discounted price….

As for the swirl tank placement is the only annoying thing but if it gets it to run then I’ll be happy with it just tucked in the corner

Yeah that sounds about right

Bear in mind if you don't have an original pump (or at least a Chinesium copy) in the tank, it won't drive the suction jets and you'll run out of fuel at 1/4 tank as it will drain the right hand side and leave the left hand side half full.

If you've swapped the pump and it still won't fire, you likely need to put 20-30L in the tank before the pump bowl is filled up. If its below 1/2 a tank, it doesn't tend to prime the pump.
