Digital tv receiver
Hello I remember reading a post on the old D2 parts forum on rms-e retrofit that also included an upgrade to digital tv receiver. Does anyone remember or maybe have something saved from this post? I would like to have working digital tv in my 2002 A8.

I don't recall how that exact swap was done, but I believe the RNS-e does have composite or RGB video inputs, so maybe just an aftermarket digital TV tuner connected to those aux inputs? Or was it controlled from the RNS-e directly?

Re: Digital tv receiver
I'm fairly certain it was a oem hybrid receiver. From something like a B7 or late C5. As I remember the 2002 A8 had the correct antennas and wiring to use the hybrid receiver. Big I can't remember exactly what was required or what the part number of the receiver was.MikkiJayne wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2026 7:40 pm I don't recall how that exact swap was done, but I believe the RNS-e does have composite or RGB video inputs, so maybe just an aftermarket digital TV tuner connected to those aux inputs?
