That makes sense. Will have to consider the rns-e upgrade or try to wire the tuner to worn only with the RSE screens. Maybe I could be possible to mount a rns-e button kitt without display in the rear center console to control the modern tuner.

Personally I know absolutely nothing about the D2 Rear-Seat Entertainment system, though I always assumed it was totally independent of the RNS.

The RSE cars have a special version of the RNS-D that has a video output that can mirror whatever is displayed on the front screen on the 2 rear ones. It also has a remote control input from the rear center console so that the rear passengers can control the entire system including Nav input and so on. So it’s not totally independent but the rear screens can also display from the rear dvd player and also the tv tuner. Now typing this out I realise I’m not 100% certain of this since I have never been in a RSE car but maybe Dean will chime in to correct me if I’m wrong since he has one.
