Introducing my 1998 d2 s8 AHC I am hoping to manual swap the
I have a collection of modern classics, misano red c5 s6 and a nogaro blue along with some japs, fords and other bmw and Mercedes .
Has anyone done an electric fan conversion?

Welcome, I see you have a GPS aerial on the boot, does it have an RNS-C by any chance?

Hi there & welcome :)

I've done an electric fan conversion on facelifts using a 16" Spal unit. I had a mounting plate laser cut to drop it in to the original slot, and had to use a C5 RS6 fan hub to clear the back of the motor since there is zero space in there. Not sure how you'd do it on an AHC tbh, I'd have to go and have a look at how the fan pulley is done. I wired mine in to a B5 resistor plate and then fitted a couple of relays in parallel with the factory ones so it has three speeds the same as the original electric fan.

Mine has the boot wart too, but voice-based nav.
