Alternator 120A or 150A?

Post by SharkGill »

Just pulled the part number off the dead alternator on the S8 (058903016c) which comes up as 120A from a later A4/A6 and it doesn't have the cooling port on the back cover. I don't really want to send this unit off for a refurb if the car should be fitted with a 150A unit. Advice please

Replying to myself. Got impatient and ordered a cheap 150A replacement off of ebay. Wish me luck

Yeah, I didn't see the value in having that one repaired. I'm hoping it arrives by friday, I miss driving the beast.
