What happened to two tones and mud flaps?

Bump stops either side of the boot lid - sourcing?

Post by HPsauce »

Not sure what they're made of, some sort of polymer or rubber maybe?
Mine are looking awful, rock hard and cracked. Are replacements available or has anyone 3D-printed them?
The "brackets" they impact against on the body are still fairly OK, but both blocks on the boot lid are seemingly close to breaking apart!
Do they even have a separate part number? Edit looks like 8A5827249 though 8A5827353 is also suggested in some searches.
8A5827347 seems to be the two-part lower adjustable "bracket" as I call it with 8A5827353 possibly the "inner" adjustable impact section.

Alas they are NLA now. Tradition had some a few years back but afaik they are long gone now.

They would be pretty hard to print I think as they have a metal backing with the rubber bonded to it. That structure and strength would be hard to replicate.

The upper is 8A5827249, lower adjustable bit 8A5827347.

353 is the predecessor to 347.

Thanks MJ, I'd already checked Tradition.
There seem to be some for sale in Germany, not sure if they're genuine though: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126314926325
Look 3D printed and no evidence of a backing plate.
