Just a quick one....
020 battery. Yea or Nay?
Also, If I've got to go down to a 019, the best CCA/Ah I can find is on an Exide. Yea or nay?
Battery size/brand?
Re: Battery size/brand?
Sorry. This was supposed to go in electrics
Re: Battery size/brand?
000915105DK is the 95AH/450A battery commonly known as 019
000915105DL is the 110AH/520A battery for cars with heated front screen, commonly known as 020. If you want to use a different size, you will also need the correct retaining plate:

Ah, fantastic. I think I have a retaining plate from a heated ws car as luck would have it. I take it the battery trays are the same then?Ronin wrote: Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:28 pm 000915105DK is the 95AH/450A battery commonly known as 019

Re: Battery size/brand?
I'm only really asking in the first instance as there's Varta and Bosch at decent money available in an 020 with 920cca/110Ah.

019 is the biggest that will fit in the stock tray. The 020 needs a different tray as well as bracketry and trim and other things made of unobtanium.
Stick with the 019. Have a look at Tayna.co.uk for (usually) the best prices.

I'll have another scour. Whats the least cca I can get away with? Because I'm 90% sure the battery that's was in it under-spec'd.
Re: Battery size/brand?
Also, as I have conflicting reports, and no experience of such things, is EFB/AGM ok to use?
